This wine shows amazing qualities of purity, freshness of fruit and complexity on the nose.
Its main characteristic lies in the finesse of the Cabernets, the caressing unctuosity of the marvellous Merlots and the freshness of the Petit Verdots

A mild and rainy winter.

Abundant flowering. A rainy July, then a change in weather at "véraison" ending in an Indian Summer.
Mid-point of changing colour: 10th of August.

The rainfalls of September and October proved to be less than in recent seasons. September was cold and dry, and October was very sunny
Harvest : from 27th of September to 14th of October.

Cabernet Sauvignon: 50%
Merlot: 36%
Petit Verdot: 14%

Tasting Notes - Thomas Dô-Chi-Nam (winemaker)
Exhibiting a dark ruby colour, this Grand Vin develops aromas of rose petal, violets, cassis, and stone fruits.
On the palate; it is both clean and silky, which develops and intensifies through the mid palate and is well sustained by a certain overall smoothness.
By the nature of this wine, it sustains a flavoursome and well developed body. With an aromatic finish, it is subtly spiced, showing hints of cinnamon, liquorice, and cherry, all helping to accompany a very notable length in mouth. This is a well structured vintage, both elegant and distinguished and is indeed characteristic of Pichon.

Corney & Barrow - A.F.B. BRETT-SMITH
Very deep ruby. The nose gives off inky-dark earthy perfume with shades of summer pudding. The palate is initially and seductively lush, but is swiftly followed by a substantial structure, concentrated and pure, with a powerful, authoritative finish. From 2009.
